Emery was the Technical Director for that day in Tucson. Before this production, Emery's drafted exclusively in Vectorworks, but this was their first show drafting in AutoCAD.
Finding material that matched sand from Tucson, Arizona, was a fun challenge. The majority of this build was pulled from stock, since there were only 80 hours for labor in the budget.

Matching sand to the red deserts of Arizona was an exstensive process. Below we have pea gravel, regular gravel, mulch, and sawdust, all covered in paint. The director wind up liking the texture of the sawdust with the paint the most, since it organically created pieces of different sizes.
